The diamond Millennium Star
The Millennium star was discovered in 1990 in Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Mbuji-Mayi, in alluvial deposits.
The rough diamond weighed 777 carats (155.4g). It is up to the company De Beers. It is the sixth biggest ever discovered diamond, the second biggest diamond known for color D, that is the purest white.
The main part cut in this rough diamond was a diamond of shape pear, pure in the magnifying glass, of a weight of 203,04ct, in 54 facets. Harry Oppenheimer said that it was the most beautiful diamond that he is never seen.
This diamond became the main part of it "Of Beers Millennium Diamond Collection". This collection includes eleven blue diamonds for a total of 118 carats (23.6g).
